Tomorrow I fly to Berlin. I’ll try to keep to my schedule but the time zones could throw me off. My daughter is coming with me but with a one way ticket. Having graduated high school, she’ll be spending the next year in Germany. So, the travel will be bittersweet. In a sense, the flight overseas represents the beginning of an end, that ending being a house full of children. They begin to leave the house and I go back to being a little of what I was before and much more of something unknown to me. I continue to write my novel, and write poetry, and these will have to keep me company.
