  1. Figuratively, virga is my favorite type of weather; literally, rain.

    Dry rain … high seas … I always enjoy a drift around your words.

    • Funny thing was, when I was writing this haiku, I kept thinking to myself: What is that damned word?

      There’s another lovely word that I can’t remember: The name for field stones that work their way out of the ground.

  2. Now you have me curious about this other word!

    Is it palsa or pingo? My late grandfather was a geologist who lived up in North Dakota. I remember him mentioning those words in relation to frost heave and frost churn in particular, but maybe there’s another process that doesn’t have to do with cold?
