  1. The image is so clear, but, even better, it’s effectively animated as the crow arrives, departs, grips, re-grips, an occasional bark shred flits down.This is nice, Patrick. It captures the occasional busy-ness of the crow quest for vigilance. A very modern metaphor.

    • Thanks Hendrik. Haiku are wonderful that way. I’m never certain as to whether I’ve succeeded with a given haiku, but then someone unexpectedly ‘favorites’ it or comments on it, and I see it in a new light. :)
