The storm has left a majestic sweep of snow. The limbs of the evergreens stoop and the mountaintops glitter.

  1. The storm is still raging here in northern Nova Scotia. I’ve cracked the large window open as I write this; listening to the wind howling, driving and drifting snow hour after hour without a moment pause.

    • The wind was on a tear today — the storm having passed. Beautiful. It’s for days like these that I live in Vermont. Mountainous curtains of snow airily sheer from the mountainsides, turning even a sunny day a blizzard-white. Winter is here, glittering and beautiful. Finally.
