Today is the last day of my haiku cycle. If the year had been something I’d planned, I might have started on the 1rst of January.  But early November is as good a time as any—the most overcast month of Vermont’s year. What remains of October’s colors lay like wet paper on the soil’s black table.

Something like a very small renga to finish the year. And now to wonder at what the next year will bring?

    • My wife is happy that I won’t be up every night working out a haiku. :-) That said, I plan to continue posting a haiku every Wednesday & Sunday just because I think I might finally be finding myself in them(?). The rest of the time I’ll be working on longer poems. I’d like to publish at least one longer poem each month. I might be a little shocked that I actually wrote one haiku a day for a year….
