Today is a conflagration of leaves. The wind flings them at the sky. In some places the hillsides are turning brown, and other hillsides are a patchwork of brilliant reds and oranges. Yet again, in the river valley, there are trees as lush and green as August. Some women wear leggings and heavy overcoats, while others summer skirts. The season is a tumbling hodge-podge.
