Walking out last night, I saw the fireflies were out, and tonight too. The day began with a blistering sun that slowly gave way to cooler winds and darker clouds broken by wisps of blue sky.

A half moon tonight; and waning. The fireflies are out and crickets. There’s a pond nearby and the Dwarf American Toad is sounding its lone and winsome trill.
