R.H. Blythe frowned on haiku like these. He preferred haiku  suggesting the world’s hidden connections—a Zen aesthetic. A haiku like this he considered almost too poetic.

I might be a little drawn to haiku like these, painterly, perhaps a little like Buson’s. As me what a haiku like this means or is suppose to evoke, I’m not sure I would know.
