I’ve always been pretty strongly moved by the sight of cherry trees in bloom. In 2006, I attempted a rather ambitious abstract write that is focused solely on the cherry tree. If you’re curious to see, I’ll put a link here.

This poem actually marks a turning point in my writing process. If only I was able to continue studying full time from that point on without having to hold a job. That turning point also marks a turning point in my life in general when I was no longer willing to put myself at the mercy of others in order to put a full time effort into my study of poetry.
